Select your desired service, choose an available date and time, and follow the prompts to complete your booking. Your appointment is not secured until the retainer has been received.
Do you accept new clients?
Yes! Bare and Brow Edit is currently accepting new clients. New clients are welcome to book available services directly through our online booking site.
Is a retainer required to book?
Yes. A 50% retainer is required for every appointment, whether scheduled online, in person, or directly with Bare and Brow Edit. No appointment is secured until the retainer has been received.
Retainers are refundable only when an appointment is canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time. Cancellations made within 24 hours, including same-day cancellations, result in forfeiture of the retainer. Any remaining service balance is due upon completion of the appointment.
Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?
Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled using the link in the confirmation email until 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
Each appointment is eligible for one reschedule using the original retainer. The new appointment must take place within 30 days of the original appointment date and is subject to availability.
Additional rescheduling will result in the original retainer being forfeited. A new 50% retainer must be submitted via Zelle within one hour of making the change. If the new retainer is not received within one hour, the appointment will be canceled.
Cancellations submitted at least 24 hours in advance are eligible for a retainer refund upon request. Refunds will be returned to the original payment method. Cancellations or changes made within 24 hours, including same-day requests, result in forfeiture of the retainer.
What happens if I'm late to my appointment?
Please arrive on time to your scheduled appointment. Clients arriving 9 or more minutes late may need to have their service adjusted or rescheduled. If rescheduling is necessary due to lateness, the original retainer will be forfeited and a new retainer will be required.
How long should my hair be before waxing?
For best results, allow 3-4 weeks of hair growth after shaving, trimming, or using any other hair-removal method. Hair should be approximately ¼ inch long, or about the length of a grain of rice, to ensure the wax can properly grip the hair.
What should I avoid before my waxing appointment?
Avoid exfoliating the treatment area for at least 24 hours before your appointment. Please also avoid caffeine immediately before your service, as it may increase skin sensitivity. Be sure to disclose any exfoliating acids, retinoids, acne medications, or other products that may affect skin sensitivity.
Can I get waxed while on my menstrual cycle?
Yes. You may still receive a Brazilian or bikini wax while on your menstrual cycle. Please arrive wearing a fresh tampon for your service. If needed, tampons and feminine wipes are available for your convenience. Keep in mind that skin may be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle, which may result in increased sensitivity during waxing.
Can I bring a guest to my appointment?
To maintain a private and comfortable service environment, additional guests are not permitted in the treatment area. Guests may wait in the lobby area during your appointment.
Where should I park and what should I do when I arrive?
Street parking is available near the building along either side of King Dr, 29th Street, or Vernon Ave. Please do not park in the residential parking lot. Once you arrive, call or text to let me know you're here and Ill meet you at the gated entrance on King Dr, directly across from Dunbar High School , or in the lobby.
What should I avoid after waxing?
For the first 24-48 hours after waxing, avoid excessive heat, friction, strenuous exercise, hot baths, pools, saunas, and heavily fragranced products on the freshly waxed area. Keep the area clean and allow the skin to calm before beginning exfoliation.
When can I begin exfoliating after my wax?
Timing depends on the product being used. Clarifying Toner Pads may be introduced at least 72 hours after waxing once the skin is completely calm. Glycolic & Retinol Pads should not be used until 5-7 days after waxing and only when there is no redness, tenderness, or irritation.
Which exfoliating pads are right for me?
Clarifying Toner Pads are ideal for congestion, clogged pores, ingrown-prone skin, and post-wax bumps. Glycolic & Retinol Pads are better suited for clients looking to improve the appearance of dark spots, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, and texture.
Can I use Clarifying Toner Pads and Glycolic & Retinol Pads together?
Because both products contain active exfoliating ingredients, they should not be layered or used during the same skincare routine. If you are unsure which product is best for your skin or how to incorporate both into your routine, please ask before use.
When should I stop using the exfoliating products before my next wax?
Discontinue exfoliating acids, retinoids, and other active treatments on the area being waxed at least 7 days before your appointment. Always inform your esthetician of any retinoids, acne treatments, exfoliating acids, or other active skincare products you are currently using.
What should I do if I experience ingrown hairs or post-wax bumps?
Avoid picking, squeezing, or attempting to remove ingrown hairs yourself, as this may lead to additional irritation or discoloration. Maintain your recommended aftercare routine and allow the skin time to recover. If ingrowns become persistent or you need additional care, consider booking an appropriate intimate skin treatment.
